Here we go, the second of our three planned highlight reels. Highlight Reel 1

March 3, 2015 @ 2:00 am

You didn't think we'd make you go cold turkey without the DBP during this hiatus, did you? This is the first of three compilation episodes we'll release where we highlight some of our favorite moments from the show. This one features Rodney Dangerfield, a story about a haircut, Althea Jackson, pubic hair grooming tips, and the Game of Thrones rapist.

To Be Continued…

February 17, 2015 @ 4:01 am

We are joined by Cricket Leg on the first half of the show where we get into the possibility of a black James Bond and then some of our favorite British TV shows (QI, Would I Lie to You, The IT Crowd, Peep Show). Afterwards, we talk about work, stand up comedy, some new shows on Comedy Central (Broad City, Kroll Show) watch a clip of a classic Intervention episode, hear some voicemail, and then close out the show with Max talking about a missed opportunity from his college days.
This will be the last episode with new content for a month or so while the DBP studio relocates. Keep us on your feed and we should be back before too long. In the meantime, check out some of the other great shows on the Melting Pod network. Thanks to everyone who enjoys our little show.

Then we talk about mating rituals of the king cobra and pandas, the new trend of NPR-style podcasts, Louie's new standup special, late night talk shows, and the invasion of the British in hollywood. We end with a treat for our very kind Aussie fans.

The chat with our Australian friend continues, then we give an update on the Dave from Generation Oddcast has challenged the DBP to out-gross the extremely disturbing Blowfly Girl's Maggot Story that is read at the end of the episode. We'll do our best, but man this is going to be tough...

Porn Star Game and Ray Thompson III

January 24, 2015 @ 2:43 am

The Dead Bedouins have their first session after the new year with Cricket Leg displaying some amazing vocal and beatboxing skills throughout the episode. We talk a bit about MLK day, American Sniper and the controversy around it, then play a game involving porn stars. The show then welcomes back Rev. Ray Thompson III, who reveals a side of MLK not known by many. We end with Vinny calling his dad and trying to get him to talk about the significance of the holiday.

This was from an impromptu podcast session Vinny and Sandman recorded early December 2014 that we never got around to releasing. We talk about work, the Serial podcast, marijuana, what kids are into these days, and the alleged gay gene. It's a short episode.

After the end credits, Vinny sings an improvised song that will forever prevent him from holding any kind of public office.

#fortheloveofpod interview

November 26, 2014 @ 2:32 am

Several months ago, we had the pleasure of being interviewed by Jake Calland of the #fortheloveofpod show. Some of you might not have heard it and since we're off on vacation this week, this seemed like a good idea to post. We really appreciate each and everyone of you that tunes in each week to listen to our nonsense. Happy Thanksgiving!

The Fappening, Poo Detective, and Guardians

September 24, 2014 @ 5:00 am

There was some drinking involved in this episode. Nobody got hurt, but there’s a lot of yelling and laughter. We talk a bit about Joe Francis (of Girls Gone Wild) and Max Hardcore (dirtbag pornographer), toss an idea around about a possible Pink Floyd themed podcast inspired by U Talkin’ U2 to Me, then get into the celebrity nude pic extravaganza known as “the fappening”. That leads to a discussion on Guardians of the Galaxy and other movies which continues after we debut a new scripted sketch, Poo Detective. More to come from this session next week.

Max recounts an unfortunate story about reading an email from Sunny that was not meant for him to read. We finish by talking about how messed up the middle east is right now. WARNING: There is a major Homeland Season 3 spoiler in the second half of the episode, so beware of that if you are not caught up.

We talk about our families, coworkers, indians in the workplace, partying persians, Vice’s Islamic State documentary, communism during the Stalin era, Richard Dawkins and Deepak Chopra.
